Data controller
The data controller is the volunteer team operating FSD for Europe (Portugal). Contact: contact@fsdforeurope.com.
Data we collect
- Name (first name required, last name optional)
- Email address
- Country and optional postal code
- Hashed IP address and user-agent (anti-abuse only; not personally identifying)
Why we collect it
To verify your signature via double opt-in email confirmation, to count aggregate signatures per country, and — only if you opted in — to send occasional campaign updates. Individual signatures are never displayed publicly; only aggregate counts.
Legal basis
Article 6(1)(a) GDPR — explicit consent. You can withdraw consent at any time via the unsubscribe link in every email.
Retention
Verified signatures are kept indefinitely as part of the petition record. You can request deletion at any time via contact@fsdforeurope.com; we will honour it within 30 days.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, and to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
Processors
Convex (database, US + EU regions), Resend (email delivery, EU region), Vercel (hosting, Frankfurt). All processors have GDPR-compliant data processing agreements.
