Full Self-Driving for Ireland
Ireland loses approximately 180 lives on its roads every year. Full Self-Driving is road-safety technology already proven in other markets. We call on the Road Safety Authority — the national type-approval authority — to actively champion its approval at the European level and prepare national law for its deployment the day EU approval is granted.

We, the undersigned citizens and residents of Ireland, call on our government to actively champion the approval of Tesla's Full Self-Driving (Supervised) system at the European and UN-ECE level, and to prepare our national infrastructure and legal framework for its deployment.
Ireland loses approximately 180 lives on its roads every year. Driver-assistance systems that demonstrably reduce collisions are a public-health imperative, not a luxury.
We specifically ask the government of Ireland to:
1. Publicly support amendments to UN-ECE R157 that would permit FSD-class systems in Europe.
2. Instruct the national type-approval authority (Road Safety Authority) to engage constructively and promptly with Tesla and other manufacturers.
3. Ensure national traffic laws are updated in parallel so that approved systems can be used the day EU approval is granted, without additional national delays.
4. Report progress publicly every quarter.
